This Labor Day weekend, URG Restaurants once again showed their unwavering support for Fairways for Warriors, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting wounded veterans through the power of golf. We’re thrilled to share that, with the help of our amazing guests, we raised over $1,000 to continue our commitment to this incredible cause!

URG Announces Two Internal Promotions to GM Roles
Glen Allen, September 08, 2023 – United Restaurant Group, a leading franchisee of TGI Fridays with a strong presence in the Mid-Atlantic region, is proud to announce the well-deserved promotions of Josie Woodall and Thomas Weston to the position of General Manager.
Josie Woodall, now General Manager in Wilmington, Delaware, has an exceptional career path within the URG family. Her journey began in 2007 as a bartender in New Castle, and her dedication to learning and leadership quickly propelled her through the ranks. Josie has managed multiple TGI Fridays locations across Delaware, including Newark and Dover, consistently driving operational excellence and fostering team cohesion. Beyond her professional achievements, Josie is a devoted spouse and parent to three children, two dogs, and a cat, reflecting her strong family values. Her passion for creating lasting memories both in her personal life and her professional career truly sets her apart. Josie’s promotion to General Manager is a testament to her unwavering commitment and exemplary leadership within the company.
In addition to Josie Woodall’s promotion, URG is thrilled to announce the elevation of Thomas Weston to the role of General Manager. Thomas, originally from Brooklyn, New York, and a Long Island resident since childhood, has a remarkable career journey within the URG family. He began his career with the company in 1998 and played a crucial role in opening the Chesapeake TGI Fridays location. His dedication and hard work led to his promotion as Kitchen Manager in 2022, and today, he proudly assumes the position of General Manager. Thomas’s commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences, coupled with his dedication to family life, makes him an exemplary leader in the hospitality industry.
